Stanick Sheet Metal & Roofing, in Columbia, SC, would not be the company we are today without the dedication and hard work of our many employees. We have put together one of the best teams in the state, and it shows! In fact, some of our team members have been here for over 20 years.
Get to know us a little better by reading our brief bios.
Owner and founder Billy Stanick, Sr. started Stanick Sheet Metal & Roofing in 1971, and we've been going strong ever since! He looks forward to celebrating our 45th anniversary in 2016.
Herbert started with us in 1972, a year after the company was founded. He started as a roofer and rose through the ranks, becoming a foreman, supervisor, and general manager before earning his place as vice president.
Randy passed away on December 17, 2010. We still miss him.
Randy started with us after 10 years in the roofing industry, working with built-up roofs, EPDM, and modified torch down roofs. In 1989 he joined the company as one of our roofing foremen. He later rose to become an outside roof estimator.
Todd handles much of the estimation work, especially for standing seam roofs, and is also the sheet metal shop supervisor. He’s been with us for 15 years and knows all about restoring historical roofs. As well as metal fabrication.
Billy has spent over 29 years in the roofing industry. He started as a 10-year-old, helping his dad here at Stanick Sheet Metal & Roofing and learning layout work. For the past 15 years, he’s been a licensed builder, and he’s spent 8 years with the company as an adult. He also owned his own business for 21 years. We’re proud to have him with us, continuing the Stanick family tradition.
Amanda has been with us for over 4 years. She came to us after completing her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and MBA from Charleston Southern University.
Zach has spent over 3 years with our company. He’s completed a 10-hour OSHA safety course in Fort Jackson and a 30-hour online OSHA safety training course. Once he’s completely trained, he’ll be our safety manager. He’s worked in the field and in the shop, so he’ll be a great asset to our company. Zach graduated from Dutch Fork High School in 2010, so we’re excited to watch as his career develops.
